Música para la vista.
Estudi{H}ac, presenta una familia de sillas y
sillones inspirada en uno de los instrumentos más
característicos de la música popular española. El
concepto fusiona las dos caras de una castañuela
y el movimiento de las manos al hacerla sonar. La
construcción de es aparentemente sencilla. La funda
se fija a la estructura por ambos extremos quedando el
resto del tejido en el aire, a modo de hamaca.
La estructura es de metal mate con un singular acabado
rugoso. Como contraste a esta aspereza, y para aportar
calidez, los apoyabrazos del sillón se fabrican en fresno;
un suave toque de madera para evocar el tacto de las
castañuelas. Las variantes de color disponibles son
negro, gris y marrón.

Estudi{H}ac, presents two chairs and an easy chair
based on a castanet, one of the most emblematic
Spanish instruments: the image of a lady clapping
together two halves of clam-shaped wood is famous
the world over. Just as two halves of clam-shaped wood
are clapped together with a castanet, the armchair’s
characteristic cushions flap onto fabric that has
been tensed over a metal structure. The Casta’slight
structure is a radical departure from traditional thick,
padded solutions for an armchair. By using fabrics that
have been carefully tested by Sancal, even the need for
elastic webbing has been eliminated.
The metal structure is in a matte, textured finish to
which the warm, smooth ash wooden armrests of the
easy chair provide a contrast and remind us of the
castanet’s wooden touch. The structure and armrests
are available in black, grey or brown.
